SalarySeeking an experienced Room Inspector for Staybridge Suites Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This position will require mostly daytime hours including weekends but individual will need to be flexible with their work schedule. This position has excellent potential for a hard driving producer.

JOB TITLE: Executive Housekeeper
Department: Operations
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor
PURPOSE:
To supervise and control the cleaning and servicing of all guestrooms in the hotel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure that all guestrooms are serviced and cleaned daily in accordance with company and brand standards.
- To ensure that VIP rooms receive the designated extras.
- To ensure an adequate supply of clean linen in a good state of repair.
- To ensure that rooms are checked regularly for repairs and refurbishing, and that maintenance is notified.
- To ensure that staff are coached and trained to perform their duties effectively.
- To help counsel staff when necessary.
- To schedule staff and ensure that manning levels are correct, to agreed standards, and are not exceeded without permission.
- To ensure that adequate supplies of cleaning materials are available.
- To ensure that staff accommodation is kept clean and in a good state of repair.
- To ensure effective communications through attending meetings and imparting information at regularly held staff meetings with housekeeping staff
- To conduct moral boosting activities.
- To ensure strict control of master keys.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:
- Must have basic knowledge of sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals.
- Must have working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and move continuously to inspect /clean rooms.
- Must have the ability to read and write basic English in order to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly in English with guests.
- Must have the ability to push or lift heavy loads weighing up to 30 pounds as the position requires continuous transportation of laundry to and from guest rooms.
- Must have the ability to push and or pull wheeled racks and carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
