Lead and shape credit policies, overseeing diverse risks in FIG.Contribute to defining risk appetite & identifying emerging risks.About Our ClientThe client is a leading European bank, with office located in New York.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:As the Senior Credit Officer for Financial Institutions, you will be entrusted with supervisory responsibilities, overseeing the recruitment, training, and day-to-day management of the FI team. Your primary focus will be to ensure the proper assessment, measurement, and management of Credit Risks originated and managed by the FI team. This includes active participation in defining the Bank's credit policy guidelines and overall risk appetite.Must Have:15+ years of management experience in financial services.8+ years of managerial experience overseeing teams of 3 or more individuals.Broad knowledge of risks affecting the Financial Institutions sector, particularly in Credit Risk.In-depth understanding of the US market and regulatory practices.Strong analytical skills and solid judgment, with a proven ability to comprehend complex transactions/processes.Demonstrated problem-solving ability and autonomy in work.Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.Strong collaboration skills across the risk division and with partners such as business lines, legal, and compliance teams.Results-focused, responsive, with robust strategic capabilities in decision-making and risk assessment.
