Head Teller

Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Head Teller. The Head Telleris responsible for the supervision of the teller area. Solve escalated member problems, resolve teller issues, and help with complex work-related matters. Guide and advise tellers in the efficient handling of member needs and accurate transactional processes. Provide guidance and management to ensure daily schedules and required tasks are completed. Utilize a broad knowledge of Credit Union products and services as well as policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Perform a wide range of transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with a high level of accuracy. Provide a variety of information and transactions with a focus on excellent member service. Maintain extensive knowledge of retail service, payment transactions and cash handling. Comprehensive knowledge of operating vault, coin machine and ATM. Well versed in all frontline operational procedures and sales processes. Update member records and provide other administrative support as needed. Uphold the Credit Union’s sales and service standards in all interactions. Regularly perform all teller functions.

Qualified candidate will have: Three to five years teller experience in a financial institution. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Ability to motivate as well as supervise employees. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to relate to members and staff effectively and handle large cash flows. Office skills and an aptitude for detail. Developed track record of honesty, confidentiality, and accuracy. Ability to adapt to multiple job functions and priorities. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to learn new systems, processes or software quickly.
