Position Summary:

This is a hybrid position with an in-office presence in Palo Alto, CA 1-2 days per week. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $157,000- $199,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
What You'll Do:
As the Head of Total Rewards, you will be the sole owner, working to develop and further implement EarnIn's total rewards program, policies, and procedures. You will:
  • Implement new and maintain existing employee base salary and equity compensation ranges and manage the 401k program
  • Oversee benefits programs through third-party broker
  • Perform analysis and market studies on current programs, using insights to develop solutions that ensure internal fairness, external competitiveness, and alignment with EarnIn's goals
  • Partner with Recruiting on new hire compensation best practices and offer development
  • Build retention strategies along with playbooks on how to communicate our approach to compensation
  • Collaborate with functional leaders, People team, Finance, and others, on benchmarking and pay decisions and policies, including offers, bonuses, promotions, off-cycle compensation changes, and internal transfers
  • Own compensation projects from design through execution, including modeling, project planning, policy documentation, communication, and training
  • Dig deep into market data to inform new programs and processes that will help support our high-growth businesses
  • Analyze trends in compensation and build intelligence through reporting
  • Perform analysis on ad hoc requests and projects
  • Maintain relationships with survey providers and make sure we are keeping up with our data submissions
  • Ensure compliance with employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay, and remain up-to-date on current compensation-related legislation
  • Partner effectively with our finance team on payroll, stock administration, and forecasting efforts
  • Design and deliver a positive total rewards education experience for our employees and managers so that they clearly understand our rewards philosophy
  • Design and implement the HiBob compensation module
  • Lead equity program design and administration
  • Perform executive compensation analysis and propose changes to the CEO
  • Update cash compensation and equity compensation ranges across all roles and levels on a regular cadence

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of analyst experience in compensation including optimizing the right composition of cash and equity rewards
  • Experience managing complex equity programs for private companies, start-ups preferred
  • Strong Excel, data collection, analysis, modeling, manipulation, and visualization skills
  • Experience working with complex models and large data sets
  • Experience developing and rolling out scalable processes and playbooks
  • Excellent attention to detail, the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion, time management, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Impeccable communication skills; able to explain complex ideas in a simple, clear manner, deftly answer challenging compensation questions, and connect with a variety of audiences
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and execution skills, including the ability to prioritize work, execute plans, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws, or foundational knowledge with the desire to learn and develop expertise

  • Experience with compensation in high-tech or fintech
  • Experience scaling compensation into international markets
  • Experience transforming compensation from a private into a public company
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where the business is constantly evolving
  • Experience building dashboards and automating reports
  • Economics, Machine Learning, or other advanced analytics background
