Role Description Summary:

The Front Desk Associate for the Fitness Center is responsible for greeting members and guests in a friendly and approachable manner, answering phones, scheduling appointments, signing up new members, addressing member questions and providing support to other fitness center professionals. A perfect applicant will be outgoing, self-motivated, reliable and have a passion for fitness!

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Greets and welcomes members and guests in a friendly manner and directs them to the appropriate person for assistance or provides fitness center information.

· Checks in members, collects guest fees, and ensures they are signed in the facilities tracking system.

· Assist with new memberships, renew existing memberships, and ensure all members are up to date on accounts.

· Answers telephone and email inquiries, provides information to members and potential members about the gym, and takes any messages.

· Record tracking of daily member visits, new members, daily revenue, and other reports as required.

. Responsible for increasing new member enrollment and promoting the Gym.

· Assists with sales of merchandise or upselling of higher-tier memberships.

· Helps resolve member issues or conflicts in a professional and effective manner.

· Maintains the organization, stocking and cleanliness of the Front Desk, restrooms, sauna rooms, towels, retail inventory and all other gym areas.

· Schedules appointments for clients.

· Shift change report conveyed to team at end of each shift.

· Performs, at regular intervals, daily walk throughs of the gym to address and maintain cleanliness and safety.

· Team Member may be required to perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

· High school graduate or GED required

· Self-sufficient with the ability to multi-task and work independently

· Excellent in customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills

· Membership relationship management, CRM and/or point-of-sale system experience desired

· Competent in problem-solving, building relationships, and flexibility

. Proficient in understanding of fitness equipment and principles

. Able to stand for long periods of time

· Must be available to work day and evening shifts, and some holidays.
