As a Contract Grant Development Specialist at Grove Park Foundation, you will play a pivotal role in conducting in-depth research to uncover potential grant opportunities from various sources. Crafting persuasive grant proposals and letters of inquiry will be essential in articulating the organization's mission, programs, and the positive impact they have on the community. Your ability to cultivate and nurture relationships with current and prospective funders through regular communication and stewardship will be crucial in securing vital funding. Collaborating closely with program and finance teams to gather and present data for grant reporting purposes, you will ensure transparency and accountability in all grant-related activities.

Maintaining an organized grant calendar to monitor deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements will be fundamental in driving the success of our funding endeavors.


Are you the Grant Development Specialist we're looking for?

To excel in the role of Contract Grant Development Specialist at Grove Park Foundation, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Communications, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in grant writing, development, or fundraising within the nonprofit sector is essential. Demonstrated success in securing grants from a variety of funding sources is a must-have for this position. Proficiency in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software is crucial for effectively managing grant-related tasks and documentation.

Strong attention to detail, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are key competencies that will contribute to your success in driving impactful Grant Development initiatives at our organization.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRANT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administratio, Communications, or other relevant field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of grant writing experience, development or related fundraising activities within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing grants from diverse funding sources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant managment software.

SKILLS FOR GRANT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability work collaboratively and build positive relationships
  • Knowledge of grant management best practies, including budgeting, reporting and compliance
