Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Nights and weekends as needed.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Talent Search Program. Responsible for the management of student files, including documentation of services provided based upon program guidelines. Acts as a liaison between the target schools and post-secondary institutions, which will require frequent driving to schools. Participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, workshops, other professional development activities, and other duties as assigned.
Travel is required. Assigned target schools will be visited three to four days a week.
Occasional after hours outreach programs or field trips required.
Ability to drive 15-passenger van.
Four three-day summer camps required.
Lifting up to 25 pounds

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education/Social Science.
One year of experience working with low-income, first-generation, or minority students.
Experience working with students from a diverse background.
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of academic needs of low-income, first-generation and minority students.
Knowledge of collegiate academic and financial aid processes.
Ability to demonstrate courtesy, tact, and discretion in communicating the goals and objectives of the project to the academic community.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education/Social Science.
TRIO experience or experience as a participant in a Talent Search Program.
Five years of experience in academic counseling, social services, education, or community services.
Two years of testing/assessment experience.
