We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role
This is a 10-week program from June 10th through August 15th.
Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM EST
Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the Times Square or Westchester Office.
Hourly rate: $35.00
Key responsibilities pertain to analyzing key data that can be used to provide actionable insights to National/Sections to drive strategies and decision making to further the organization's mission.
Responsibilities & Projects:
- Regressions & Comparative Insights:
- Develop econometric models and regression analysis using blended and external datasets
- Use statistical and probabilistic tools to identify how we can increase participation of core USTA programs
- Research and provide an implementation plan for integrating public sources like Census APIs
- USTA Analytics Community Revamp:
- Develop USTA's department of Data & Analytics video catalog for guides, quick tips, and insights on our dashboard portfolio.
- Research, design, and develop a national template for a monthly package of insights in 2025
- Map out 12-months of content for Analytics Community and/or monthly package
- USTA Data Literacy Program:
- Research and present a best in class data literacy program for the USTA
- Develop a 2025 core curriculum, user scorecard, growth trajectory, and training schedule
- Uncover USTA weak/points and develop a mitigation plan
- Standardizing Reporting Framework:
- Strategic wireframe designs for new projects
- Analyze tournament data and develop a dashboard using a Question-Insight-Action framework
- Tableau Server Revamp:
- Tableau Server audit to provide recommendations on how to optimize our current environment.
- Develop a 2025 implementation plan for integrating NLP or ML via Tableau Server
- Competitor Intel: Predictive/Prescriptive:
- Provide competitor intelligence on innovation and usage of ML, AI, or NLP for regression, predictive or probabilistic modeling
Who You Are
- Proficient with Tableau
- Project management experience
- Strong intercommunication and research skills
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
- Critical thinker
- Capable of working independently and in a collaborative environment
- Experience with developing presentation decks (i.e. Powerpoint/or Google Slides)
