Summary
Responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating Swiss Lathe and machining centers to fabricate parts and components while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Swiss Lathe Machines
- Monitor and inspect parts for conformance to drawings and quality standards
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to produce parts
- Maintain a clean working environment in the machine shop area
- Attend department and company meetings
- Comply with the company’s business and human resources policies; work rules; safety, OSHA and MIOSHA requirements; quality standards; standard operating procedures; requirements and applicable local, State, and Federal regulations
- Perform other related duties as needed and assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to communicate professionally and work well with others
- Specialized technical, trade, or business school in this or a related area of study (knowledge normally acquired through a journeyman/associates / or other 2-year program)
- 3 years of related experience
