The City of Liberty Lake is seeking a Golf Maintenance Worker. Liberty Lake is a safe, family-friendly and engaged community. A. Assists with planning, scheduling and implementation of maintenance and operation activities designed to provide a quality environment for the City of Liberty Lake.
B. In coordination with the Operations & Maintenance Director and Section Lead(s), responds to complaints and service requests regarding streets, parks and Golf Maintenance and operations.
C. Coordinate with the onsite mechanic to ensure proper maintenance of equipment and tools by cleaning and checking equipment and tools after use.
D. Operates various equipment and tools and trains staff appropriately on safety and use of such equipment.
E. Performs emergency or specialty maintenance work within the limits of available tools, equipment, supplies, and funding.
F. Ensures safe interior and exterior conditions of buildings, such as snow and ice removal of entry ways, roof lines and gutters.
G. Completes tasks related to event set-up, tear down, audio visual equipment set-up, light janitorial work and other related event needs, including but not limited to mopping, table and chair breakdown, emptying garbage, cleaning bathrooms and assisting with any urgent situation
H. Responds to weather conditions like snow to ensure City owned parking lots, City trails, and City roads are safe and passable.
I. May be required to be on-call and/or called back to work with or without notice to respond to the maintenance needs of the City.
J. Maybe required to perform simple irrigation and landscape maintenance tasks around streets, golf and parks spaces.
K. Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures and safety practices.
L. Performs scheduled and assigned maintenance, repair and service work on City streets, rights-of-way, sidewalks, medians, parks, and structures.
M. Mows grass, prunes and cultivates vegetation.
N. The Maintenance Worker is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities as described, in a professional and appropriate manner that is reflective of the Mission, Vision and Values of the City of Liberty Lake. In addition to these expectations, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
INSURANCE BENEFITS
Eligibility: Coverage begins for new hires and their dependents on the first day of the month, following the first day of employment.
Medical: Qualified employees may select from three health plan options; The monthly premium varies depending upon the plan and coverage level selected.
Dental: Dental insurance is provided by Delta Dental of Washington. The monthly premium is minimal for employees and eligible dependents.
Vision: Vision coverage is paid for by the City of Liberty Lake.
Life Insurance - Employee Only: Group Term Life Insurance and AD & D for the employee is paid for by the City of Liberty Lake.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a referral and counseling service for employees and their eligible dependents.
HRA VEBA: Upon the adoption of the annual budget, the City of Liberty Lake contributes a predetermined dollar amount to the employee’s HRA VEBA account on an annual basis.

RETIREMENT BENEFITS
Public Employees' Retirement System: PERS Employees' Retirement System (PERS) is a plan choice retirement plan (PERS 2 or PERS 3) covering non-uniformed employees.
Deferred Compensation
401A: A predetermined percentage of each check will be contributed to this plan.
457: This is a voluntary plan that employees can contribute an additional dollar amount or a percentage of each check.
PAID TIME OFF
City of Liberty Lake observes eleven (11) paid holidays, prorated based on hire date. Thirty-two (32) hours of floating holiday are provided each year; however, the hours are prorated based on the quarter hired for the first year. Employees accrue four (4) hours of paid vacation year pay period. Sick leave is frontloaded upon hire with forty (40) hours, after six (6) months employees will accrue four (4) hours per pay period.
