Form of workThe following vacancy exists in Goshen Community Schools for the 2023-24 school year: Goshen Intermediate SchoolInstructor POSITION PURPOSE: Assist classroom teacher(s) by providing support services to individuals, small groups, and/or whole classrooms of students for the sole purpose of increasing student achievement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Support classroom instruction and increase student achievementClose achievement gap REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree requiredTeaching degree preferred QUALIFICATIONS: Self-driven and motivatedHigh energy - committed to teaching in collaboration with othersCan motivate studentsStrong problem solverSkilled at communicating with staff and studentsCan model thinking and problem solving skills to studentsBelieves all students can learnFosters positive, validating relationships within the school communityCan track student progressUnderstands literacy instructionFamiliar with Multi-Tiered Systems of SupportValues diversity HOURS: School year - 180 days plus 4 additional days per year; 40 hours per week; 8:00am to 4:00pm SALARY: $18.50-$19.50, rate is dependent upon education and/or experience. Those with a Master's Degree are eligible for an additional $2.70 per hour.
