Dance Instructor

Are you passionate about dance and eager to share your expertise with aspiring dancers of all ages? Join our team at The Arts Castle Dance Academy as a Dance Instructor! We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals with experience in various dance styles, including jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, musical theater, and tumbling, but resumes from ALL dance styles will be accepted and considered.

The Arts Castle is a non-profit organization established to nurture the creative energies of the residents of Delaware County and surrounding areas. The Arts Castle offers multi-arts experiences through classes, workshops, private lessons, exhibits and special events.

Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging and well-structured dance classes to students of all ages and skill levels.
• Create and implement lesson plans that focus on technique, artistry, and performance.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students can grow and thrive.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students reach their full potential.
• Prepare students for performances and recitals as needed.
• Stay current with trends and developments in the dance industry to continuously enhance teaching methods and curriculum.

Requirements:

• Previous experience teaching dance, either in a studio, school, or community setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in one or more dance styles, with the ability to teach multiple styles preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for dance and a commitment to inspiring and empowering students through the art form.
• Availability to teach classes during weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.

Please note that pay and hours will vary for this position based on class size, your own personal availability/experience, and other factors. Pay and hours will be discussed upon interview/job offering.
