The Role:
Life Edit is looking for a motivated junior scientist with a background in molecular and cellular biology and/or genetics to help expand our therapeutic capabilities. We are seeking a curious, enthusiastic, competent, and self-motivated individual to work in our company. A willingness to embrace our cultural values will be critical for success in this role. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and help a therapeutic company at an early stage.
Here's What You'll Do:
- Assist in designing and implementing experiments to test and develop LifeEdit's Genome Editing technologies in a variety of diseases
- Assist in developing and optimizing assays to test LifeEdit's Genome Editing systems in human cells
- Assist in analyzing experimental data and present scientific results at team research meetings
- Collaborate with other departments within LifeEdit
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a BS program majoring in molecular and cellular biology, genetics, biochemistry, neuroscience and/or related field
- Background in basic DNA repair, genetics, etc.
- Understanding of molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extractions, PCR, qPCR, and NGS
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Cell culture experience is preferred
