Medical Receptionist

Busy ophthalmology office looking for Medical Receptionist. Good customer service skills a must. Description includes checking in and out patients, answering phones, scanning, running eligibility for medical insurance, etc.

We are seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in the medical office. ```Duties```
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with filing and organizing medical documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient care

```Qualifications```
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in ophthalmology is preferred
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple lines
- Familiarity with medical office software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
