Team Specific Structure:
The Application Service Delivery team provides technical Application Support to the Global Rates & Currencies businesses. The team employs a "follow the sun" coverage model aimed at providing the maximum degree of system availability and timely response for our internal and external business partners focussing on foreign exchange.
Rotation:
The team provides M - F support where members work on a rotation in 3 shifts covering from 7am EDT to 7pm EDT. The team also provides support for Start of Week in Asia which takes places on Sunday from 11am EDT to 7pm EDT. This is also done on a rotational basis and occurs approximately every 3 weeks per associate. Associate is given a day of in lieu the same week. Saturday on call support is provided from 2pm to 8pm EDT and a half day is given in lieu. This is also done on a rotational basis and occurs approximately every 7 weeks per associate.

The core set of technical skills that are beneficial in the role are:
- Operating systems: Solaris, Linux, Windows
- Scripting languages: Unix Shell, Perl, Python
- SQL (Intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, etc...)
- Grid computing and batch management
- Well rounded understanding of infrastructure disciplines (network, server, storage, messaging)
- KDB
Relevant areas of business expertise would include:
- Product knowledge - Currencies
- Electronic trading and exchange connectivity
- Market data distribution
- Risk delivery
Role Responsibilities:
The following are key responsibilities fulfilled by an Analyst (although not limited to):
- First point of contact for business requests and reported impact
- Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
- Release implementation and post-release testing
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
- Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
- Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
- Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements
- Accurate tracking of support effort to enable effective management reporting
- Enforcement of change management policy
