COMMERCIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Job Summary:
General Accounting position is primarily responsible for the accounts payable function which consists of the payment of goods and services required for daily operations. Additional duties include compiling, maintaining, and auditing AP records for accuracy and to ensure proper accounting procedures. Perform various general accounting duties such as month-end closing processes, assisting with reporting and resolution of discrepancies for the Accounting Department. / Property Management Department. calculate management fees, owner distributions, and provide audit-ready financial statements. Assist in the annual budget preparation and in the annual tax return preparation with the CPA. Completes various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports, and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable and General Accounting Experience
- Bachelor / Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Software knowledge:
- General Accounting systems such as QuickBooks/ Yardi preferred.
- Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).
- Advanced skillset with MS Excel strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
