Fulfillment Operations Intern

Position Summary
Samsung Digital Direct is delivering exponential growth as consumers increasingly look to Samsung.com as a shopping destination. The Digital Operations team, is looking for an Operations Program Manager - Intern role.
The intern opportunity will be to work in our eCommerce Operations team specifically on the Logistics/ Fulfillment Operations. They will support and/or lead an exciting project within any of the following areas within operations: Forward logistics, Returns & Refunds or Last mile programs, which will directly impact our Customer experience. They will have a chance at making improvements by scaling, developing, or improving processes.
Role and Responsibilities
The Fulfillment Operations Internwill get an opportunity to work across multiple teams across geographies to learn and drive improvements in the overall operational systems and processes using technology to drive best in class operational execution across the supply chain with the ultimate goal of improving customer experience.

• Identify operational inefficiencies and drive a cross functional project across Supply chain to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
• Use the voice of the customer to prioritize operational deficiencies for improvement
• Develop requirements for Engineering and Big Data to align supply quantities and timing to Customer Orders automatically, identifying risk of promise misses
• Create process documentation and training documents across Operations to drive standardization, identify best practices, identify process gaps, and have training and reference materials for future use.
• Develop/Improve capacity planning models for specific warehouses/fulfillment or last mile partners based on historical demand patterns in order to have a "playbook" for levers to pull to drive specific results in shaping demand. Will include understanding overlying factors such as seasonality or lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in Business (BBA/MBA) or BS/MS, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Operations research, Supply Chain, Business, or related fields.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in all components of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Passionate about customer experience
• Understanding of Business, Supply chain/Logistics concepts (experience in retail, electronics, ecommerce is a plus)
