Administrative Assistant/Front Office Receptionist:
Wilson School of Dance : Compensation commensurate with experience: $15 - $17/hour

Part time 8 - 14 hours/week. Afternoons/evenings (occasional Saturday mornings).
Excellent computer skills are a must. We are a private dance school with a family friendly atmosphere looking for the right person to continue implementing the care, integrity that has made us successful for over 40 years. We are looking for an energetic, responsible, reliable, team player with integrity and a positive attitude who enjoys helping families. We teach children, teens and adults in an artistic atmosphere which is never boring! A sense of humor and strong work ethic will do well here. Parents drop off/pick up mostly outside the building so work is more project, based now than customer service. Excellent computer skills, (Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, etc.) are a MUST! There is a range of duties, from organizing files-digital and paper, answering parents questions, tracking enrollments, light bookkeeping, graphics for bulletin boards, alerts for website updates, event organization and implementation, to helping the youngest dancers to the bathroom. Skills:
- Exceptional customer service, sometimes as first point of contact.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel (spreadsheets, etc.)
- General physical fitness: able to lift 5 gal. water bottles, walk up/down stairs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent email etiquette in communication with staff, families, day to day operations of school.
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills
- Ability to organize multiple projects efficiently within deadlines while demonstrating flexibility

Responsibilities:
- Answer phone; assist the director, students, families, instructors requests/issues with caring tactfulness and absolute confidentiality and integrity.
- Use web based, industry specific software for business applications (Process registrations, payments, etc.)
- Maintain office supplies inventory; anticipate needed supplies; learn/operate new office products
- Ensure digital data is updated to reflect day to day business changes.
- Perform general clerical duties: photocopying, faxing, filing. other day to day operations as needed. Work with the director Marketing strategy and implementation & event planning and oversee.
- Physical organization and cleanliness in Front Office: light assistance in maintaining building and grounds (sweep walk in fall, change light bulbs, stock bathroom, etc.)
- Support staff and director in assigned project based work.
- The school is closed similar to public school breaks, with more hours mid April - mid May as we approach the annual performance.
