Position Summary:
The Medical Front Office Coordinator (Care Coordinator) handles the front desk responsibilities for the organization and assists with client registrations.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls
- Triage and transfer calls as appropriate and relay/document information as necessary
- Escalate callers concerns appropriately
- Greet patient and family members in an attentive and courteous manner
- Register and interview patients to obtain insurance and general information for registration purposes
- Complete full registration information accurately
- Verify client insurance eligibility and assist client with insurance coverage
- Complete, track and renew prior authorizations
- Collect co-pays for self-pay clients
- Ensure all insurance & demographic information is accurate and entered into the EMR
- Immediately relays accurate messages to appropriate staff
- Assist with maintaining inventory of office supplies and equipment
- Appropriately orders supplies as required, avoiding overstocks or unexpected shortages
- Adhere to agency policies and procedures
- Develop professional work relationships and attitude
Qualifications:
- High School education required
- 2 years’ experience required
- Bi-Lingual preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
