Job Summary
Under the general direction of the department chair, this person provides administrative support for the Department of Dance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the Department Chair and members of the Department of Dance including students, faculty, Administrative Support Coordinator, and staff.
- Serve as receptionist and contact person for incoming students, guests and the public via telephone, email, mail, social media and in person.
- Serve as Department Liaison, Communications, Outreach Coordinator.
- Auditions Coordinator: Serves as the liaison between the Main Office and Faculty to coordinate auditions for all undergraduate programs.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and be a team player. Knowledge of computer systems for word processing, spreadsheets, campus e-mail, database maintenance and entry, and student records access preferred.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
- Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required.
- One year of experience with Social Media engagement preferred.
Physical Summary
- Light work - Job involves some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $3,680 - $4,156 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,680 - $5,783 per month.

Time Base
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
This is a temporary position for three years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
