DeKalb Community Service Board (CSB) is an innovative, community-based behavioral health and developmental disabilities services organization located in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, offering a full range of mental health services, developmental disabilities programs and substance abuse treatment to more than 11,000 citizens annually who are uninsured and underinsured.

CRISIS FRONT DESK - MEDICAL ASSISTANT
HOURS: 3:00pm- 11:30pm (Every other weekend 3:00pm-11:30pm)
The DeKalb Community Service Board has an exciting opportunity for a Front Desk Medical Assistant at our DeKalb Regional Crisis Center- 450 Winn Way, Decatur 30030. The Program Assistant serves as the first level of contact for the client experience ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.
HOURS: 3:00pm-11:30pm (Every other weekend 3:00pm-11:30pm)
Under general supervision, the Program Assistant will perform a variety of general clerical duties in support of the daily functions of the program including, but not limited to:
- Greeting clients and guests upon arrival
- Facilitating the process of admitting clients to the facility
- Insurance Verification
- Bed Management and Census Verification
- Answering multi-line phones and responding to requests immediately
- Protecting patients’ rights through strong adherence of HIPPA regulations
- Excellence in communication skills, both verbal and written
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Professional Front Office etiquette
- Pleasant demeanor
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication Skills
- Organization skills
- Data entry skills
- Minimum of two years of front desk experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Proficiency in computer program applications and basic office equipment
- Strong data entry skills with the ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm
- Prior experience working in a mental health environment
- Completion of a Medical Administrative Assistant program
- Experience with AVATAR electronic medical record software
