WHAT WE DO
myHealth clinic-based programs offer youth and young adults, ages 12-26, comprehensive, preventative and youth-focused medical services, mental health services, community outreach and education, and nurse home visiting for pregnant and parenting teens. Our clinic is in downtown Hopkins and our services are offered without judgment in a caring and safe environment.
JOB SUMMARY
The Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler is often the first person a client or community member meets when they walk in the clinic, and we are looking for someone who can consistently provide a positive and professional customer service experience for all. Hours for this position will vary, and may be as follows:
Mondays: 1:45pm – 8:00pm or 11:45am – 6:00pm
Tuesdays: 11:45am-5pm
Wednesdays: 11:45am – 5pm
Thursdays: 11:45am – 4:00pm or 11:45am – 5:00pm
Saturdays: 9:45am – 2:00pm
This position will require 15 hours to 20 hours per week, including 1 to 2 evenings. On hire, the typical needed shifts will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. As soon as April 1, additional hours will be available.
On hire, this position will not be benefits eligible, but may be able to be converted to benefits eligible in the immediate future.
Position starts at $16 per hour. Position/training starts as soon as possible.
Applicants must have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently. Responsibilities include checking in clients for appointments, accurately scheduling clients for clinic appointments, obtaining and verifying necessary demographic and insurance information, explaining the Minnesota Family Planning Program (MFPP) and assisting in enrolling clients in the program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required –
- High school graduate or GED
- At least one year of customer service experience
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of economic, social and culturally diverse backgrounds and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Technical proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Outlook, Excel and Word
- Organized and detail-oriented
Preferred –
- Experience working reception in a medical clinic
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinic
- Ability to work as part of a healthcare team of Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Medical Assistants, Educators and Mental Health Counselors
- Ability to deliver quality care to adolescents and young adults according to clinic policies and procedures
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Physical Demands: Majority of work is done while sitting. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. May require occasional lifting of supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.
