The Behavioral Health Clinic receptionist is the first line of communication between a Client, a therapist, and a doctor, whether it’s on the phone or in person. The BHCR is responsible of providing; general information to clients, keeping, and updating client’s records and helping in the general process of patient’s enrollment.
MAJOR DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives all incoming phone calls, screens them, take messages and/or forward to appropriate staff
- Completes initial new patient process, scan and document in the system.
- Assist providers with drug screening
- Register client’s in program portal
- Prepare necessary documents prior to appointments, maintain accurate patient lists, and follow up appointments and charting.
- Completes daily payment reports, follow up with Patient’s no shows and cancellations
- Maintains calendar of meetings, schedules, referrals, and appointments for all counseling staff members.
- Prepare treatment completions letter for client, and third parties.
- Assist and prepare monthly behavioral meeting’s agenda and meeting minutes
- Collaborate with outreach events, and general marketing strategies
- Ensures that all office equipment and furniture are maintained in proper working condition
- Place orders necessary for program operations utilizing appropriate protocol.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma, AA, or BS preferred but not required
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communications and organizational skills
Familiar with software, as words and excel
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, and social skills, team player
Self-motivated, detail oriented, time management
Bi-lingual English-Spanish or Asian language- English preferred
