Gossett Implant and Oral Surgery is looking for a full time Receptionist/ Treatment Coordinator that can float between our 3 offices. Offices are located in San Antonio, New Braunfels and Schertz, TX. Under the direction of the Administrative Manager this position has responsibility to fill in as receptionist or treatment coordinator as needed. As a Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will coordinate the Front Desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. As treatment coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, effective and profitable operations. This position includes financial consideration including: Treatment coordinating, Implant coordinating and insurance Verifications. Prior dental or oral surgery experience is a must. This position can and will travel between all office locations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Work with referral offices to ensure continuity of patient care
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
- Use scheduling guidelines to ensure daily goals are met
- Verify insurance
- Present treatment plans and finance options
- Referral letters: consult and surgery
- Check out patients
- Prepare insurance claims daily
- Close out End of Day
- Work referrals, cancellations and unscheduled treatment reports
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Treatment Coordinator or Insurance Specialist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Hands on experience with office equipment (fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Encourage teamwork atmosphere throughout the office daily
- Customer service attitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Under the direction of the Administrative Manager, the treatment coordinator has the responsibility to ensure efficient, effective and profitable operations
Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work independently and cooperatively, set priorities and complete tasks: must be well organized and able to maintain files. Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information. Knowledge of rules, regulations and laws applicable to a medical practice. Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines. Flexibility to manage changing priorities. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written skills. Proficient with computers and office software products. Must understand how this position positively impacts the revenue cycle
Organizational Data: This is a non-exempt position, supervised by the Administrative Manager. This position does not supervise staff.
