Preferred Skills: Ability to work independently, self-starter, goal-oriented, professional work ethic, excellent online/in-person communication skills, friendly, responsible, tech-savvy, team player, and outgoing/ firm personality. Bi-lingual and/or experience with InSync EHR is a bonus.
Requirements Office Receptionist Experience (1) year, US work authorization, must pass AHCA level 2 background check.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creates a welcoming atmosphere by greeting patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.
Must exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Company policies and HIPAA requirements.
Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
Checks in and checks out patients in a timely, friendly manner.
Outstanding professional phone management skills: manages a multiline telephone system efficiently and politely, minimizing hold time.
Comforts patients by answering any questions they may have.
Obtains patient identification and insurance information.
Maintains patient accounts by verifying insurance information and coordinating with relevant organizations for payment and referral requirements.
Helps respond to medical emergencies, if necessary.
Assists and covers other staff when necessary to maintain high productivity and efficiency in the department.
