Battlefield Animal Clinic is looking to add a friendly and dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to our welcoming hospital team.
The position plays a integral role in providing excellent care to our patients as well as providing outstanding customer service to our clients.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Provide friendly, quality client care to the patients and clients of Battlefield Animal Clinic.
- Receive incoming calls, screen those that are handled by other health care team members and take care of routine calls. The routine calls include those seeking information about veterinary services.
- schedule appointments, obtaining all necessary data concerning the patient and owner. Prepare all required forms in advance when possible.
- Check clients in- Greet clients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
- Discharge patients. Review charts of patients being discharged from the clinic for completeness of information, make new appointments or note changes in patient status as necessary. Enter charges and set up future reminders in the system. Present clients with medications and instructions
- Assure that all financial obligations are met by owners. Collect client fees, make changes, process credit card transactions and assist in making count of cash drawer, run end of day transactions.
- Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
Essential Functions:
- Strong communication and client service skills. Ability to work with clients and patients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
- Ability to courteously and professionally answer incoming telephone calls utilizing proper telephone etiquette and place outgoing calls responding to client’s needs.
- Utilize the computer system to accurately enter and retrieve records and reports, enter fees, charges, and recalls.
- Regular attendance and timeliness are a essential function in order to fulfill the requirements of the position.
- Collect Client fees, post, and record payments, make changes, process credit card transactions.
- Perform general physical activities that require bending, standing, stooping, moving from room to room, and sit. May be required to walk or stand for long periods of time.
