SalaryDog Tales Daycare, located in Chantilly, VA, has an immediate opening for a friendly, organized, and customer-service minded individual to join our team as Front Desk Reception! We are presently seeking someone to assist us three days a week with Front Desk related tasks.
Our ideal candidate would be available to work from 9AM-5PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
There is potential for the position to be full-time in the future.
Primary Duties:
- Greet all dogs and customers with enthusiasm
- Answer all phone calls & emails, professionally and grammatically correct
- Remember clients and their dogs by name
- Occasionally handling client check-ins and check-outs, including taking to & fetching their dog(s) from playrooms
- Take payments
- Call owners to confirm reservations and collect vaccine history
- Process new client accounts into our software system
- Generating daily reports in Microsoft Excel
- Putting away shipments
- Filing paperwork and sending mail
- Give tours to prospective customers
- Any other task needed, we work as a team!
Primary Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently, with little to no supervision!
- At least 18 years old
- Dependable
- Quick learner
- Must love animals!
- Basic computer comprehension— able to use Microsoft Excel/Word
- Experience a bonus, but not required
Dog Tales Daycare offers double pay on holidays, free dog daycare for your pet, and discounts on overnight boarding. We offer paid training, and every day is “bring your dog to work day!”
While this job is not very physically demanding, you must be able to occasionally lift heavy items or dogs, and are capable of walking dogs that may pull/yank. The work environment can be loud at times, with lots of barking dogs. Please do not apply unless you are able to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, AND Fridays. For the right applicant, we may be able to provide some flexibility on the 9AM-5PM time frame. Starting pay is between $13-15 an hour.
