SalaryWe are a growing & fast paced specialty surgeon practice looking to expand our team.
As client-facing professionals, Medical Receptionists play a key role in representing a practice within the community. Duties and responsibilities for this role include:
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments via phone and online.
- Obtaining patients insurance info and checking eligibility status prior to visit.
- Obtaining any necessary referrals or authorizations that may be needed by insurance also prior to visit.
- Greeting & checking in patients upon their arrival as well as collecting any required copays or outstanding balances.
- Scheduling further testing and/or visits for the patient when deemed necessary by the provider.
Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and requirements:
- 1+ year of experience as a medical receptionist.
- Must have a vehicle to commute 1-2 times per week to our other office location in Queens and Long Island.
- Must be able to multitask effectively; critical time management skills necessary.
- Highly organized and attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic healthcare terminology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
