We are looking for a Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join the team and provide excellent customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a variety of tasks, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, and answering phones. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Hours are Monday- Thursday 8:30-5; Friday 8:30-12. Medical Assistant experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical histories.
- Collect patient information, including insurance information, for billing purposes.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits.
- Provide general information about the practice, services, and rheumatology treatments.
Qualifications:
- Prior medical office experience and basic medical terminology preferred.
- EMR proficient; .
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Team player and multitasker.
