Lakeside Automotive is an independent automotive repair shop. We service and repair of all makes and models of vehicles. Don’t worry, you won’t need to know anything about cars, but, chances are you will learn a thing or two about cars while on this job.
This is considered an entry level position with potential for professional growth. Our goal is to help you gain experience to ultimately become a Service Advisor. As the company grows we want you to grow with us.
Job Description:
The Primary purpose of this role is to ensure clients get great service by being the “backbone” of the repair shop office.
Office Support: Perform a variety of customer service and administrative duties as needed by the shop. This may include such things as answering phones, responding to emails/text messages, running various errands, updating the workflow-board, checking-in/out customers, cleaning the office, assisting customers at the counter, performing callbacks to previous clients, helping with customer loaner cars and other tasks as directed by business need.
Preparing Paperwork: Create quotes, invoices, and other documents for customers or vendors using Shop Management Software.
Sales: When needed, assisting in selling repairs and services to customers under the guidance of a Service Adviser or General Manager.
Qualifications:
● Customer Service or Administration Experience: Must have at least 1 year in any customer service or administration related position.
● Organizational Skills: Must be able to work and complete work tasks in a timely fashion in an environment that has constant distractions and interruptions.
● Computer Knowledge & Ability: Must possess a working knowledge of how to use a Windows computer. This includes the ability to type or dictate at least 30 words per minute, operate a cursor, view a computer monitor, operate an email account, and use common office software such as word processing and spreadsheet programs.
● Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and eloquently in English fluently, in both verbal and in written form.
● Math Skills: Must possess ability to count. Must know how to perform basic math functions using a calculator.
● Physical Demands:
○ Must be able to lift more than 15lbs without assistance
○ Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
○ Must be able to drive a motor vehicle with passengers.
○ Must have clean driving record (must be insurable)

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
