Our Mid Kansas Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice is looking for a motivated Surgical Assistant to join our amazing surgical team!
This is a full-time (hourly, non-exempt) position.
Hours: 7:30AM–5:30PM Mon to Thurs and 7:30AM–3:00 PM Friday
You may be travelling between our East and West offices.
East Location: 10111 East 21st St N, Suite 107, Wichita, KS 67206
West Location: 3934 North Ridge Road, Wichita, KS 67205
Who you are:
You are an individual who has developed strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and you have learned how to multi-task without losing your cool.
With your well-groomed appearance and positive attitude, you work well in a close team environment.
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with that with your superior customer service skills, make you an asset to any team.
You may have experience in the dental or medical reception field.
What you will do:
- Answer busy multi-line phone system
- Check patients in/out
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Collect co-pays and patient balances
- Answer patient questions
- Present treatment plans to patients at consultation appointments
- Complete patient charts
- Post patient payments
- Prepare end of day deposit
- Maintain all patient recall
- Input patient information along with notes into the dental system
- Prepare and send thank you letters to referring doctors after patient care
- Track and file test results, films, and reports prior to appointments
- Understand and adhere to all insurance guidelines
- Order office supplies and equipment as needed
- Other duties as assigned
