We are seeking a reliable Desk Clerk to join our team at Hampton Inn in Lawrence. As a Desk Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring smooth operations during both our 1st and 2nd shifts.
Responsibilities:
- High Degree of Personal Responsibility: Uphold the standards and reputation of Hampton Inn by demonstrating a strong sense of personal responsibility towards your duties and interactions with guests.
- Customer Service Experience: Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing assistance as needed to ensure a pleasant stay experience.
- Ability to Work Unsupervised/Self-Sufficient: Take initiative and demonstrate the ability to work effectively without constant supervision, managing tasks efficiently and prioritizing responsibilities to maintain a smooth operation during both 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Front Desk Operations: Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, accurately process payments, and maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
- Communication Skills: Maintain clear and effective communication with guests and other hotel staff to ensure smooth coordination of tasks and exceptional guest service delivery.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address any guest concerns or issues promptly and effectively, striving to exceed guest expectations.
- Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by following established procedures and protocols, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
