As we expand our team, we are seeking a Former Admissions Officer to join us in making a positive impact on students' educational journeys.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Former Admissions Officer to contribute their insights and expertise to our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their background in college admissions to guide students through the application process, offering valuable insights and support.
Responsibilities
Student support, including but not limited to the following:
- counsel and support international or local students in the admissions process (research, school/college lists, brainstorming, essay review, application review, personal education program development);
- develop, evaluate and optimize education action plans for students;
- track, assess and evaluate student progress and produce regular academic reports; and
- create early decision/ early action strategy for each student and family;
- provide feedback and create option plans for students on their research, internship and summer activities and make specific recommendations.
Organization development, including but not limited to the following:
- serve as a featured speaker at the Company's marketing or other relatable events virtually, domestically or internationally;
- attend conferences, fairs, school meetings and training.
Others. The Employee shall conduct general administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working in an admissions office at a Top 50 US university, with experience in recruitment, outreach, and application review
- A bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively guide and communicate with clients.
- Ability to assess and evaluate college applications objectively, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships within the educational community.
