About the College, School, or Department

The Arts & Sciences Student Services and Admissions Office is a large and dynamic unit dedicated to

delivering excellent service to students, faculty, and staff. The office staff support a one-stop student

services model for the college's 4,700 undergraduate students from time of admission to graduation.

Our staff help guide each student on their path to success, however they define it, building a foundation

for lifelong growth, opportunity, and discovery.


Cornell enrollment representatives across its administrative offices and within its colleges, schools, and

units share a mission to partner with students, faculty, staff, and alumni, supporting strategic enrollment goals defined by the university so that any person can find instruction in any study. Enrollment services

are carried out through a matrixed organizational system in which staff in Division of Enrollment offices

regularly collaborate with colleges, schools, and units, establishing partnerships and resource for all staff serving enrollment functions.


The Opportunity

The Student Services Coordinator plays a vital role in the Student Services & Admissions Office, supporting various special programs such as the Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars Program (PSSP), the Mellon Mays Fellowship program, the Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) honor society, and the Summer Scholars Institute. Additionally, they are responsible for administrative support in class scheduling, management, and programming. The Student Services Coordinator also assists with the College's degree clearing and certification process for the University's May, August, and December conferral dates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the lead for class and room scheduling activities, collaborating closely with departments to facilitate class setup and instruction.
  • Managing enrollment, grading support, and scheduling using university systems such as PeopleSoft, Course and Class Interface system (CCI), and 25Live.
  • Working with senior staff on degree clearing and certification for the University's May, August, and December conferral dates.
  • Providing official letters and verifying external forms for Arts & Sciences students.
  • Maintaining records and serving as a resource to department undergraduate coordinators.
  • Partnering with staff across the university in the Office of the University Registrar and Bursar Offices.

This is a full-time (39 hours/week) endowed position that is based in Ithaca, NY and fully on-site. Typical work hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.

  • Hold an Associate's degree or equivalent; 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of both education and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree, experience with PeopleSoft, 25Live scheduling system, and Salesforce. Knowledge of Cornell, and experience working in an academic unit.
