RESTAURANT Front of House - Runner/Busser
Seeking exceptionally detail-oriented efficient Food Runners/Bussers. The Runner will be the heart of dining room operations by assisting the servers, ensuring tables are properly cleaned and set and handle impromptu requests from guests. They will also assist the Bartenders by ensuring they are set up for success and may occasionally deliver orders to Residents. They are the foundation of our guest’s experience and their intuitive grasp of guest needs will help ensure that each guest will have a seamless and pleasant experience.

- Reports directly to the General Manager

- Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 2 years runner experience
- Must have exceptional knowledge of fine dining room and service procedures and functions
- Must be initiative-taking and customer service oriented
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Open availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Sheriff’s Card, TAM Card & Food Handler Safety Card

- Duties Include
- Consistently offers professional, engaging, and friendly service
- Ensure all service stations in the kitchen are stocked and ready for service.
- Removes soiled dishes from the table; brings to the dish-washing area.
- Completes set up and teardown of banquet and dining events as assigned.
- Sets tables with silverware, glassware, and other items.
- Removes soiled linen, restocks the work area with clean linens.
- Stocks servers’ and bartenders’ stations with supplies.
- Restocks the bus station continually with ice, coffee, teas, and other supplies.
- Inform a manager and or server if guests have any issues when food is delivered
- Be ready and willing to aid fellow servers as situations arise.\
- Delivers orders to Resident units
- Help with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly stand for extended periods of time, twist at the neck and trunk, bend at the waist and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally reach with hands and arms, reach overhead, above shoulders and horizontally. Employees will use hands to manage objects and tools and operate service equipment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40-pound objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees may use vision to check food quality and quantity and may also order supplies, etc.
- Work Conditions
May require evening and weekend hours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors in front of a restaurant and kitchen environment with exposure to heat from ovens, hot foods and steamers and cleaning chemicals, fumes, equipment, and metal objects. You will usually be based indoors, splitting your time between the front of the restaurant and the kitchen. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud depending on specific work site and/or equipment operation.
