Summary Statement:
The gourmet Food Runner is essential to servicing all the guests at FUHU. The gourmet Food Runner shall serve food from the kitchen to all the guests seated in the restaurant. The gourmet Food Runner will have full knowledge of food ingredients and preparations of all the items on the menu.
Primary Job Duties: - Includes but is not limited to:
- The Gourmet Food Runner is the backbone in a quick and fast paced environment and contributes to the success of the FUHU. The Gourmet Food Runner will assist and support both front of house and back of house.
- The Gourmet Food Runner provides exceptional quality and service to our Internal and External Guests.
- Ensure guests have a high-quality dining experience by providing all necessary utensils and condiments for their dinner order.
- Acts as a liaison between the Front of House, the Gourmet Food Runner and the Back of House team members and at time expedites food orders.
- Have knowledge of the Menu and how dishes are supposed to be served and presented.
- Ensure quality of food preparation, and presentation meets department standards before sending to the table.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized work area.
- Ensure all FOH areas are conformed to the Health Department and Food Safety standards, by receiving, handling and storing products and supplies in accordance with the SNHD Rules and Regulations.
- Breakdown deliveries of pallets from the warehouse to the designated storage areas.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance and cleaning of all FOH equipment.
- Set up FOH areas for success by ensuring shelves are stocked, neat and organized.
- In addition to all the above, the Gourmet Food Runner performs side work, polishes silverware, glassware, China, refills condiments containers and supplies throughout the day. The ability to work rapidly and set up tables according to specifications is required.
- Meet the demands of a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask.
- Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies: Includes but is not limited to:
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a Japanese Fine Dining, Food & Beverage environment.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Must be 21 years of age
- At least two years of customer service in a fine dining restaurant
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Position required licenses
