Job Summary:
The KVP Energy Services Fleet Manager is responsible for the logistics of all KVP’s leased/owned vehicles and heavy hauling equipment. The Fleet Manager leads the department in managing the financial budget, operations, and coordination of all KVP’s fleet.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must work with cross-functional division managers on cost savings strategies and understand the proper equipment utilization between divisions.
- Maintains accurate records of all Utility fleets.
- Schedule required DOT and safety inspections.
- Provides staff with guidance regarding vehicle repairs or preventative maintenance, thereby helping to ensure that the necessary numbers of fleet vehicles are always available.
- Ensures preventive maintenance plans are adhered to.
- Collaborate with management to coordinate repairs for field mechanics.
- Keep track of field mechanics expenses.
- Track maintenance costs and provide periodic reports to senior management.
- Track, control, and report on vehicle ownership, operating, repair, and maintenance costs.
- Review and maintain the fuel program and fuel expenses monthly through WEX.
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and code correctly to the chart of accounts and proper division.
- Assist with receiving and distribution of new vehicles.
- Monitors and resolves any delivery issues.
- Assist with the assignment of vehicles, including pool/spare vehicles.
- Performs periodic vehicle inventory and ensures fleet inventory database is kept current.
- Assist with proper disposal and tracking of obsolete vehicles.
- Ensure all fleet vehicles are maintained and meet company standards.
- Performing periodic vehicle inspections to ensure they are in good working order.
- Responsible for job site audits and keeping track of the logistics and coordination of equipment.
- Responsible for reporting and managing the Capex budget on the utility fleet with senior management.
- Responsible for developing KPI’s for fleet department with the assistance of the CFO.
- Responsible for reviewing all utility fleet contracts or leases with the approval of the CEO/CFO.
- Conduct new hire orientation on Fleet and driving safety requirements.
- Manage a cost savings budget on all fleet expenditures, including repairs, fuel, savings, rental costs, and Capex.
- Must adhere to KVP’s safety culture and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Willingness and ability to accept "on-call" status, respond to off-hours situations, and perform evening and weekend assignments.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of direct experience working as a supervisor or manager in the fleet department.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time required.
