The Fleet Manager oversees our 4,000 vehicle fleet and is responsible for crafting successful vehicle procurement strategies as well as working with a 3rd party fleet management company. This position plays a vital part in ensuring that Sevita's operations teams have access to a safe and reliable fleet of vehicles.
This role is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to establish both short and long term vehicle procurement strategies, taking into consideration evolving needs of the business, the age and overall condition of the existing fleet, as well as new technologies, ESG requirements etc.
- Help control budgets for vehicle repairs and replacements and ensure that the most cost-effective approaches are taken and that teams are adhering to company financial guidelines
- Oversee the strategic relationship with Sevita's 3rd party fleet management company; ensure that all SLAs and SOWs are adequately being met by the vendor
- Develop and help execute a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for Sevita's fleet thru collaboration with field leadership to ensure that the program is being properly executed
- Manage the fleet fuel card program; recommending proactive changes and/or policy updates to leadership to help reduce expenses and/or eliminate potential misuse
- Develop fleet KPIs and publish these and other insights (i.e. vehicle procurement status, fleet maintenance and repair activities, fuel consumption details, etc.) to a PowerBI dashboard that can be shared and used to regularly update key business stakeholders and leadership teams
- Collaborate with Sevita's Operations and Safety teams to develop strategies to help reduce accidents and to ensure that all fleet vehicles are in compliance with State laws
- Performs other related duties and activities as required.
- Manages assigned personnel. Completes performance evaluations, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or a related field, with a proven track record of managing a medium to large sized fleet
- Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) would be a plus
- In-depth Knowledge of the transportation industry and its current trends
- Proficiency in using computerized fleet management software/tools
- Vehicle Procurement
- Strong written and oral communication skills, decision making and influence skills
- Project management skills
