Employees in this classification are responsible for recording data and payments into computer systems and to ensure the safety and maximum performance and efficiency of all law enforcement vehicles and to ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of the facility.* Assists Senior Fleet & Facilities Coordinator with the coordination and management of the repair and servicing operations of the Fleet & Facilities management programs.* Performs duties relating to the cleanliness and orderliness of facility appearance to include but not limited to emptying of trash cans, cleaning fixtures, painting, etc.* Performs duties relating to facility maintenance to include but not limited to plumbing, small building repairs which will include the use of small hand and power tools, replacement of light bulbs, assisting with supply and furniture orders and deliveries, etc.* Prepares and monitors the Police Department owned vehicle preventative maintenance and preparation of records; delivers vehicles to the garage.* Maintains relationships and open communication with vendors regarding facility projects to ensure the safety of all employees and the general public, and to ensure all policies, procedures and schedules are adhered to.* Coordinates repairs within the police building of A/C units, building security systems, parking lot gate system, building camera system, doors, locks and four generators.* Examines and identifies equipment and structural problems of the police building; coordinates with the Senior Fleet & Facilities Coordinator the maintenance needs of the facility while ensuring a safe work environment for all Police Department employees. * Process vehicle registrations and payments relating to the Police Department fleet vehicles. * High School Diploma or GED. One (1) year responsible experience in Fleet and/or Facility management operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Handyman knowledge is preferred but not required.* Must have a valid Florida's Driver's License.Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.EXAMINATION PROCESS:The following includes all steps required to process for the position.
