The Fleet and Equipment Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing our fleet operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing vehicle performance. Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance: Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure driver and fleet compliance with all regulations.
Fleet Management: Oversee the acquisition, onboarding, maintenance, and disposal of company vehicles, trailers, and equipment while ensuring legal compliance.
Fuel Management: Manage fleet fuel software, track fuel usage, and issue fuel cards.
Vehicle Performance: Monitor vehicle performance and utilization to optimize efficiency. Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
Installation Oversight: Schedule and oversee the installation and upkeep of vehicle trackers and cameras, performing installations if required.
Branding and Maintenance: Oversee branding of fleet vehicles/equipment and perform monthly visual and mechanical inspections.
Repair Coordination: Schedule and manage mechanical repairs and maintenance for fleet/equipment. Act as the point of contact for dealerships, mechanics, field installers, insurance, and towing companies.
New Hire Preparation: Prepare trucks for new hires, including cleaning and stocking with necessary equipment and tools.
Equipment Management: Register new equipment, assign equipment numbers, and update software. Manage check-in/out process for equipment, ensuring timely returns and documenting condition changes.
Insurance and Documentation: Handle insurance claims, maintain maintenance records, and ensure all necessary safety equipment and documentation are in each vehicle.
This is a salaried position with a typical work week of 40 to 45 hours, due to the demands of the role.

Experience:

Qualifications:
Proven experience in fleet and equipment management.
License: Valid SC driver's license with a good DMV record.
Safety Commitment: Strict adherence to and enforcement of safety standards.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer, typing, email, and document management. Ability to use fleet tracking software for various purposes and reports.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Collaboration: Ability to work alongside the Purchasing Manager for financial approvals and other collaborative tasks.
