Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for First-LineProduct and Service Quality Managers (Level K) to join our Delivery Team located in Everett, Washington.
The Everett Delivery Center team is looking for First Line Quality Managers to support 777, 767 or 787. This is a fast-paced flight line position. The candidate will be supporting a team of 10 to 15 quality inspectors. They will be releasing aircraft and preforming Quality Management Systems (QMS) oversight activities site wide. This manager will be reporting to a senior Quality Manager supporting offsite activities and supporting onsite manufacturing managers.

This leader will be a reliable and proficient professional who possesses the ability to work well with diverse groups and collaborate across organizational boundaries. They can efficiently implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment by relying on problem-solving, data, and analysis to drive decisions. Transformational leadership skills are vital to form team engagement and lead quality team members in implementing key initiatives including One Boeing Production System, Defect Reduction, and Lean Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system.


Position Responsibilities

  • Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead, develop and empower employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services, and processes align with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures, and government regulations.
  • Provide education, coaching and review of Quality Management System.
  • Develop and maintain relationships, partnerships and communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have A&P license or be able to obtain a Repairman Certificate per eligibility requirements C.F.R. § 65.101.
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams. (This includes managing team assignments, tracking status and developing a team’s talent.)
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.
  • 3+ years of experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Experience in quality leadership.
  • Experience working in Delivery Centers and/or Final Assembly Production.
  • Experience interacting with Airline Customers and Regulatory Agencies.
