Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First-Line Product and Service Quality Manager to join the 737 Field Quality team in Renton, Washington.
The 737 Field Quality team is looking for a First Line Quality Manager to support return to delivery. This is a fast-paced flight line position. The candidate will be supporting a team of 10 to 15 quality inspectors. They will be releasing aircraft and preforming Quality Management Systems (QMS) oversight activities site wide. This manager will be reporting to a senior Quality Manager supporting offsite activities and supporting onsite manufacturing managers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations.
  • Provide education, coaching and review of Quality Management System.
  • Develop and maintain relationships, partnerships and communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Experience/certification in Material Review Board (MRB).
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing.
  • Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working on the 737 Program.
  • Repairman Certificate or the ability to obtain based on eligibility requirements C.F.R. § 65.101MRB.
  • Have or held an Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License
  • 3+ years of experience with flight line.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft MRO.
