The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining the QA Program, including the QA Manual, Procedures, and Policy. The QA Manager is a Qualified Lead Auditor and is responsible for the maintenance of the Evaluated Suppliers List, which includes performing all required supplier and internal audits. The QA Manager is responsible for maintaining the Corrective Action Program, Nonconformance Logs, Supplier Evaluations, Management Assessment Log, and the Audit/Surveillance Log. The QA Manager is responsible for VNS Federal Services NQA-1 activities.
Responsibilities
- Procedure development
- Maintains Audit Schedules
- Performs Audits and Surveillances, both scheduled and unscheduled; both external and internal
- Maintains NCR and CAR Logs
- Maintains Lead Auditor Qualifications
- Trains and Qualifies Inspectors and maintains their qualifications
- Maintains VNSFS' NQA-1 Program
- Maintains VNSFS' QA Manual and Procedures and Policy
- Reviews and approves applicable engineering and procurement documents

Qualifications- A bachelor's degree is required (or 10 years equivalent experience)
Experience & Requirements:
- ASME NQA-1 Lead Auditor Qualification
- Well-developed communication skills are required
- Must be proficient with general computer use, e-mail, electronic calendars, Word processing applications, spreadsheet applications, etc.
- Department of Energy experience is desired
