Sr. Account Manager- Fire Service
POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Senior Account Manager, you will manage all aspects of communication with the end user community in an Eastern US territory with the flexibility to assist teammates elsewhere when needed. You will be responsible for providing a high level of service to our indirect clients and prospects. Your primary responsibility is to be a brand ambassador for Milliken's Fire Service business, educating fire departments on Milliken's capabilities, technologies, and innovative solutions. A strong candidate should possess strong experience and knowledge of the Fire Service PPE sales process and strong knowledge of the industry and capability of specifying and selling through this segment. One should have experience in seeking and developing annuity business with end users, evidence of strategic relationships with key decision-makers in the territory, and the ability to see the "big picture" by assessing, prioritizing, navigating, and quickly adapting to complex situations in key projects. Strong listening and communication skills must be used to identify customer needs and encourage customers to specify and purchase our brands. This candidate must also have the willingness to work flexible hours to strengthen key relationships and secure specifications on must-win projects. This role will report to the Senior Sales Director spending approximately 60% of their time traveling to the Eastern US region to meet with current customers, potential customers, and industry events.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain robust and effective Fire Service end user engagement plan
- Develop and maintain relationships with end users and key industry personnel.
- Call on current and potential end-user clients, advocating for and educating on Milliken fabrics.
- Provide insights into Westex, Polartec, and Milliken Brands for Fire Service end uses.
- Use presentation skills, fabric and garment samples to teach and train on the quality and value of specifying our brands.
- Initiate, lead, and manage wear trials at the department level.
- Impart knowledge of applicable codes and standards and how our textiles aid in making end users healthier and safer.
- Familiarize with NFPA standards' updates, building the value of a partnership with Milliken and our brands.
- Schedule customer site visits and host departments at Milliken to further educate end users.
- Meet and exceed annual goals which will include, but not be limited to: wear trials, customer adoptions, pull through sales targets.
- Maintain CRM database, updating contacts and opportunities daily.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
- 10+ Years of Sales or Industry Experience within First Responder Market
- Results-oriented, Self-Starter, Strategic, Leader
- Demonstrated Track Record of achievement and success in growing market share and acquiring new business through proactive lead generation
- Strong Sales Acumen with passion and drive for success
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
- Team player who is able to work with others throughout the organization
- Organized with an ability to complete tasks on-time
- Sales Force Knowledge and Computer Proficiency as a daily activity
