We are looking for a Financial Controller for our fast growing, entrepreneurial company. Based onsite at our HQ in Long Island City, you are a key individual who works with our senior leadership team to book the financial performance of the company as well provide in depth analysis. We are looking for a strong people leader who is eager to roll their sleeves up too!
What you'll do
- Oversee our accounting operations
- Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Oversee Expense reporting processes for the business
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting
- Produce financial statements as requested
- Coordinate the preparation of any reporting and audits
- Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
- Develop and adhere to policies and procedures
What we look for
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Intimate knowledge of NetSuite, required
- CPA preferred
- 2+ years public accounting or similar experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- 5+ years of combined experience in accounting, finance and business
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience successfully leading a team
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledgers
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team player with interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time-management skills
