SummarySummary/ObjectiveThe Finance Controller will be responsible for managing the finances, financial records, preparing financial reports, and overseeing budgeting and forecasting for our national and international locations. Job DescriptionRole and Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Preparing detailed monthly financial reports on the company’s performance.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Supervises the company’s financial operations.
- Develops the company’s annual financial plans and projections.
- Preparing monthly financial reports, performing account reconciliations & maintaining the general ledger. Ensuring that all auditing and internal control processes are conducted properly.
- Analytical review and analysis of financial data and generate monthly trend reports and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring financial statement accuracy and investigating variances.
- Prepare and reconcile all bank accounts resolving any discrepancies.
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
- This role will also require you to support various ad hoc projects with the ability to influence senior leadership team and analyze scenarios with a solution-orientated mindset, as they arise.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Ascertaining compliance with local, state, and federal government laws and reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional controller duties as necessary

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Thorough understanding of national and international financial logistics processes
- Two or more years of overall combined education, accounting, and finance experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in QuickBooks or related software and MS Office
Preferred Experience
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
- Professional certification (ex: Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
