We are looking for an Operationally focused Financial Controller to lead the financial activities for our rapidly growing team based in the US. The role will be office based in our US location.
Job DescriptionAs the Financial Controller, you will lead the financial activities and the development of policies and procedures to ensure that financial reporting is on time and to the required level of granularity. You will maintain a successful working relationship with the business management in order to provide sound financial and commercial advice in all areas of decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of the group finance team based in the UK and US
- Preparation of the annual financial budget & forecast
- Acting as a partner to the CEO, COO and CFO to assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
- Developfinancial performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction.
- Ensure appropriate financials controls are being applied
- Management of Company's cash flow
- Reporting to the Senior Management Team, including preparation of presentations and other reports, as required.
- Management of internal and external relationships (with the auditors, consultants, banks and authorities)
- Preparation of the consolidated financial statements, along with the related and accompanying information
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the senior management team
- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the senior management team
- Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems to include FX platforms
- Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on retaining and attracting the industry’s most vibrant talent
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years’ experience in finance preferred
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience for a high growth company preferably in the aviation sector
SOFTWARE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- General knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office programs.
- Other accounting software programs may be required, as needed.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read, and write.
- Aviation terminology/background desired, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: excellent grammar and spelling
- Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner
- Ability to interact with varied customer base (current and/or prospective) while providing high level of customer service.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience in partnering with an executive team.
- Well organized and analytical
- Positive and professional attitude
- Flexibility, especially at month end and budget times.
Additional Information
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, Onsite
Salary range $100k, plus annual salary, (DOE)
