Job Description
The Washington Post is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst with expertise in sales performance reporting, revenue analysis, and revenue forecasting to join our dynamic Client Solutions team. The ideal candidate has a mastery of spreadsheets, can streamline complex datasets and reports, and has top-notch communication skills when interacting with key stakeholders. This role reports to the Director of Sales Operations & Revenue Analytics and is based at either The Post’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. or New York, NY working in a hybrid remote/onsite model.

Responsibilities:
- Generate regular reports on sales performance to plan and prior year by product and industry
- Assist with producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly advertising revenue forecasts
- Ensure revenue is mapped to the appropriate product, industry, and salesperson
- Work with leadership to set and analyze sales goals, forecasts, and pacing
- Maintain and organize large volumes of data from multiple data sources
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes
- Assist with ad hoc requests as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance, business, or accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High proficiency in utilizing MS Excel, including pivot tables
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills when dealing with all levels of management
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to define and undertake work assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience in digital media/advertising a plus
