We're in search of a Finance & People Operations Manager to join our sewing machine retail team as we continue growing in ecommerce! This role goes beyond the typical financial responsibilities, involving management of accounting and human resources functions tailored to our industry. Finance Responsibilities:

1. Financial Transactions:

   • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes.
   • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial data entry and processing.

2. Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow:

   • Reconcile bank statements regularly and monitor cash flow to optimize financial stability.
   • Provide insights and recommendations for improved cash management.

3. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare detailed monthly financial reports and summaries for management review.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and present actionable insights.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Assist in the development of annual budgets and participate in the forecasting process.
   • Work closely with department heads to align budgetary goals with organizational objectives.

5. Audit and Tax Filings:

   • Collaborate with external accountants to facilitate year-end audits and ensure accurate tax filings.
   • Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to maintain compliance.

People Operations Responsibilities:

1. HR Administration:

   • Administer HR functions, including maintaining accurate employee records and processing payroll.
   • Manage benefits administration and address employee inquiries related to HR matters.

2. Recruitment and Onboarding:

   • Assist in recruitment efforts by posting job openings and coordinating interview processes.
   • Facilitate employee onboarding, conduct orientation sessions, and ensure a smooth integration process.

3. Employee Relations:

   • Handle employee inquiries and address HR-related concerns in a timely and confidential manner.
   • Foster positive employee relations and contribute to a healthy workplace culture.

4. Compliance:

   • Stay informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in HR practices.
   • Implement policies and procedures to align with legal requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and HR administration, preferably within the retail sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen understanding of retail dynamics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in retail financial and HR processes.
• Familiarity with relevant financial and HR software.
