About the Job:
Our company, Elite Roofing Supply, is seeking an experienced and qualified Operations Manager. Ideal candidates for this position can organize, schedule, and plan daily activities, while building a highly motivated performance team and supporting operations staff with warehouse and transportation guidance and knowledge. The role will include but isn't limited to, improving performance and productivity, as well as heightening profitability by implementing management strategies. You will be responsible for managing all staff members, including inside sales personnel, to optimize the efficiency of the distribution center. The chosen Operations Manager will ensure that all functions within the office are running at their most cost and time effective and are aligning with quality requirements. Overall, the chosen applicant will be tasked with heightening the management systems and processes to ensure the organizational health of the business.

Requirements
Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• Safety & Security - responsible for the safety and security of customers, employees, and the material. Liaises with Fleet and Safety Manager for all issues relating to building security and fire prevention, CCTV, and burglar alarms. Acts as the first responder to all off-hour emergencies and first on the call list for alarms. Responsible for security and security of the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Staff - responsible for training, mentoring, coaching, developing, and retaining all facility staff. Manage workload to ensure the facility is appropriately always staffed. Input and approve payroll. Continuously review areas of responsibility to increase productivity and improve efficiency. Keep all commitments, operate with integrity, and promote an open-book management style. Provide leadership to the team and set a personal example for others to emulate.
• Finance - responsible for meeting monthly financial targets set by the company. Prepare and monitor the annual operation budget.
• Administration - maintain adequate inventory supply levels and inventory turns per year. Coordinate logistics and handling strategies. Schedule and coordinate third-party vendors as needed.
• Buy materials, organize inventory, and make sure the distribution center runs smoothly. Audit the quality of products and improve KPIs for production, service, & quality
• Ensure the satisfaction of roofing contractors we serve and a track record of excellent customer service.
• A minimum 7 years experience as an Operations Manager, or in a similar role
• A solid understanding of operations management and organizational methods
• Previous experience developing and overseeing budgets
• A general comprehension of financial and business principles and best practices
• An excellent grasp of financial forecasting
• IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Leadership ability, and a highly organized approach to leadership
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in operations management, or related field of study
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Capable of working well under pressure and delivering on deadline
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectively

Salary Description
$66,560.00/Year
